I am a writer and editor in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada. I have been writing about Canada’s North for more than 25 years and am well-known North of 60 as an editor, magazine writer, editorialist, columnist, commentator, political analyst and communicator. If it has to do with the written word, I’ve probably done it.
I am best known for my short, and often funny, essays about myself, my family and the vagaries of life. Read the latest in my regular column Prelude Notes in above&beyond, Canada’s Arctic Journal. I am working on publishing a volume of these essays.
My essay Family Spilling Over will be published in Cup of Comfort for the Grieving Heart in December, 2009. Order the book here.
I also have the good fortune to serve as editor for the above&beyond, Canada’s Arctic Journal.
In recent years, I have been following my heart and writing fiction. I haven’t published any yet but I’m told it’s just a matter of time. Meanwhile, I have given some very well-received public readings of this work at the NorthWords Writers Festival.
